I am currently employed as a Senior Transportation Planner with the University of Tennessee Knoxville/TDOT: Office Of Community Transportation.  I serve as the Senior Transportation Planning Staff within a designated region.  I coordinate with local and state planners, consultants, engineers, and transit managers in presenting recommended plans for review and comment by the public and the various planning committees.  I review and monitor studies conducted by local and urban planners by attending local planning committees, reviewing organizational agreements and other appropriate documentation of activities. I participate and review complex rural, metropolitan, and statewide planning initiatives to ensure that the planning process meets or exceeds applicable federal, state, and local requirements or best practices. I collaborate with engineers, planners, and policy makers to research, analyze, or resolve complex transportation issues. I also prepare complex multimodal planning documents such as planning work programs, long range plans, corridor studies, transportation planning models, and other planning documents.

Prior to my accepting the role with the University of Tennessee, I was employed as a Vice President-Business Analysis Manager/Operations Controller within the Home Lending Department of JP Morgan/Chase. I primarily worked with Audit and Exam Managers (internal and external) to conduct targeted reviews within the Mortgage Loan Operations Department (Loan Processing, Underwriting and Closing) as part of the Business Readiness efforts for Regulatory, Compliance and Audit exams (internal and external). I worked with Loan Operations Departments to impact operational efficiency, cycle time, salability, and the overall customer experience within the Home Lending Department. I provided training, support and guidance for managers and supervisors when understanding and owning their individual goals and performance benchmarks. I took the leadership role in planning and tracking change initiatives for procedures and guidelines for the Loan Operations Department. I worked closely with JP Morgan Chase regional site managers in respect to the operation and underwriting functions when monitoring analyzing, predicting, and acting on the Operations site performance. I identified and completed root cause analysis on any negative trends effecting operational processes, productivity, and overall quality. Finally, I assisted in the management and supervision of staff when creating and monitoring formal performance improvement plans.

During my tenure as a Community Planner with the State of Tennessee, Department of Economic and Community Development, Local Planning Assistance Office, I served as the professional planning staff to Chief Executive Officers, planning commissions and boards of zoning appeals of local municipalities within assigned contracts (City of Fayetteville, City of Pulaski, Town of Petersburg, Town of Estill Springs, City of Chapel Hill, TN and Lincoln County, TN).   I served as the program administrator for FEMA's NFIP within the assigned communities.  I also developed land use and transportation plans, community facilities plans, public improvement programs and capital budgets.  I provided recommendations on development proposals to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations when developing environmental areas.  I prepared, implemented and monitored an annual planning work program to address local development goals and issues.  I attended regular night meetings and provided technical assistance to the general public, local developers, surveyors and engineers on development projects.  I prepared technical reports, strategic plans, regulations and ordinances.  I evaluated development projects for sensitive environmental hazards to insure federal, state and local government compliance.  I provided support and information in the preparation of community application for grants-in-aid and I prepared and presented educational materials to local community leaders, officials and the general public.  I am adept at planning policy research while using various statistical approaches in collecting and interpreting data for reporting purposes.

I am proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Windows software packages and SPSS, SAS, GIS and ArcView software packages. (SALARY-NEG)
