Experience
Under supervision, performs a variety of responsible clerical and routine technical accounting duties involved in performing financial recordkeeping and reporting duties in support of assigned accounting system, function, or program area; and answers questions and provides information and assistance to other staff and the public; and to perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
Performs a variety of complex administrative tasks including calendaring appointments, processing invoices, follow-up on issues, department payroll, and routine programmatic functions for assigned area. Successful candidate must be detail oriented, accurate and able to multi-task, while having excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for developing/maintaining a professional collaborative working relationship with internal and external stakeholders while remaining poised, tactful and diplomatically dealing with different personalities and competing deadlines.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of office support and clerical duties and activities of a general and specialized nature for an assigned office; types a variety of documents and correspondence; maintains a variety of files and records including budget and financial invoices; receives and directs telephone calls and visitors; provides a variety of information to other agencies, City staff, and the general public; and receives, routes, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
